Lighting Performance Center is where we analyse and select lighting as part of the complete vehicle system. We focus not only on the lamp itself, but on how the light is expected to perform in a specific installation and application.

For us, lighting is about optics, geometry, colour temperature, beam distribution, and the conditions in which the vehicle is used. Only by combining these elements can a solution deliver the performance it is designed for.

The foundation of the Lighting Performance Center is access to HELLA technology and standards.

For more than 100 years, HELLA has been developing automotive lighting solutions and setting benchmarks for quality, durability, and engineering precision.

For KLP Automotive, this means more than access to products. It means access to an OEM-driven approach to lighting design and development.

Powered by HELLA is a strong technological foundation that we translate into solutions tailored to specific applications and requirements.

How We Work

Every project starts with analysis. First, we define how the vehicle is used, the environment it operates in, and the result that needs to be achieved.

Based on this, we select the right technology, optics, and lighting system configuration. We do not simply choose a lamp from a catalogue. We build a solution where every component has a clear purpose.

The next step is verifying performance and fine-tuning the configuration. Only then is the solution ready for implementation.

Many solutions may look similar on paper.
In practice, the difference comes from what is not immediately visible. Light distribution, beam uniformity, beam pattern, and colour temperature all have a direct impact on visibility and user comfort.

That is why we do not start by asking which product to choose. We start by asking how the light needs to perform.

This means:
- selecting a complete lighting system,
- analysing lighting performance, not just specifications,
- configuring the solution to match the vehicle,
- delivering a final result that performs as intended.
